Paint Code for 2002 Wheel
I have been trying to find the paint code of the 2002 wheel. My wife let her brother drive my vette and he obviously did not know where the front wheel was. :mad So, I have some nice crub rash on my drivers side front wheel. The old post seemed to be inconclusive on the paint code for the 2002 wheels. Any one got a update on the code?

I went over to a freinds house and watched a bike race until I was in a better frame of mind. It was safer for everyone that way :boxing
I was also thinking of trying wheels america here in houston. Does anyone have any experiance with them?

" Z06 Wheel Paint code is WAPB-9789 and is called Grey Metallic by J.B. Fuller Co. I did however, find out that the code number WAPB-9789 is a GM code number and most auto paint stores can make this product. Just got done re-touching my rim using the kit supplied with Ultimate Touch -up Systems. I ended up removing the tire from the rim and lightly sanding the very outside edge of the wheel to remove the light scratches. I masked off just the 3/16" edge with the scratches and sprayed the match provided from Ultimate using an airbrush. After a few coats of silver metallic and a few coats of clear, it looks as good as new. Perfect match! http://www.ultimatetouchup.com has it."

If I'm wrong please let me know, because I've been fighting this crap for over 8 months. :mad:

I have read the old post and that is what I concluded. The paint for the 01 and 02 wheels are different. But, I am not sure. I emailed the touch-up place to see what they had to say about it.

Come to think of it, you may be right. There were posts about the colour being slightly different, unless the forged wheels vs cast wheels make the same paint look different ?
This paint code is for my 01 wheels. Have not knicked the 02 wheels ( mind you the 01 wheels were damaged slightly at the dealer )
