Default Engine noise

I just change the oil on my 2000 with 43K miles and there's a little noise on the engine, i change the oil to see if that help but it doesn't.
My question is if I can add some lucas oil treatment or what can help to reduce that noise.

Thank you!

I hear it from the bottom like noc, noc, noc not loud.
I use Lucas oil treatment on a 2002 Ford Ranger noisy and lucas fix that noise, but the Ranger had 150K miles and i dont want to add anything that will damage my 43K miles engine.

lucas will not fix the problem, it will only mask it... LS engines tend to be fairly noisy anyway, some refer to them as sounding like a sewing machine

Thank you for the advise!
Do you recomend to add lucas or not? not hoping to take off the noise just like additive

I wouldn't put any additive in at all.
The regular (at least twice a year) oil/filter changes with
good quality filter and synthetic 5w30 is all you need in there.

also, if the engine is cold (under about 70 -80 degrees) many of them experience piston slap. It even talks about it in the owners manual and it is nothing to worry about. Let it warm up and see if it goes away. Other noise i hear seems to be on the top and make the "sewing maching" type sound.

Yup, that pretty much sums up my 2000. The piston slap disappears soon enough and then all is well. A bit disconcerting at first however.

The general says quote "no additives in your Mobile 1 pls." But if you are really into it, go to your GM dealership and tell them your issue and they will suggest some GM product that will help as I have been there. Try that or live with it. greetings, Rob
