Hey guys, I have no MAF anymore, so my local emissions tester says it's not communicating with the MAF. Does anyone know what I could do, WITHOUT having to put the MAF back in and retune?? Please help!!!

if he is failing it just because you don't have a maf and assuming you have no codes, no ses light, and all readiness test show "ready" then you could just put the maf back on and plug it up but just have some dummy wires taped together and tape it to your harness to make it look like it's there and working... worth a shot lol

No, no codes at all, it just isn't communicating with the MAF, so the computer wont pass it

hmmm i don't know how your emissions are tested where you live... i don't believe the maf is one of the readiness monitors but i could be wrong, i would have to check... in tx they can fail you if you don't have a maf present and the car originally came with one... you are also allowed 2 "not ready" up until 2000 and 2001 on up can only have 1 "not ready"... but then again these are the rules in tx so it could be different where you are
