GMPP Change Just announced
Ally is pleased to announce a mileage eligibility enhancement for customers wishing to purchase additional GM Protection Plan (GMPP) coverage on their out-of-warranty vehicle.
Enhancement Highlights
Effective immediately, customers who have a GMPP, Mechanical Repair Protection, or Saturn Service Plan vehicle service contract with at least 1 month and 1,000 miles of coverage remaining may be eligible to purchase additional GMPP coverage. The purchase eligibility has been reduced from 2 months and 2,000 miles to allow dealers to better serve their customer’s coverage needs while creating an opportunity for increased dealership F&I revenue
This is great news for my many customers, I do not know why this has not been in effect before but has went from 3 mo/3000 miles to 2 mo/2000 miles and now to 1 mo and 1,000 miles left of original plan. I think they finally realized how much is was costing them in personel time to cancel and refund plans, with this you probably will not be seeing any refund money.
