cut the old ones off and weld some new ones on, or get a complete aftermarket cat back....

but if you don't want to spend the money on an aftermarket exhaust, check the Parts for Sale section and find a Z06 TI set.

I cut the welds off with a hand grinder, there are welded on the top also so you have to drop the exhaust down to get to it. Then I bought Corsa Hot Tips from Ecklers. They are held in place with a bolt and bracket that digs into the exhaust pipe to hold it in place. Had mine for three or more years now.

That is what I did. Still OEM equipment.
Looks good, light weight, flow pretty well.
What is not to like?

I have a 02 and found a set of Ti exhaust pipes on ebay. The sound is great, lose 40 pounds and they look terrific. I don't know what they are going for these days, but 6 years ago, I paid $400. Best mod I made on it.

Do the e bay thing and you will be surprised at the selection and low prices on exhaust extensions. Direct bolt on/over existing exhaust. I bought a set of oval rolled lip chrome exhausts that have been on for two years and cost only $50- love em. Rob
