Looks great! Your C5 is way to unique to sell. I am also tempted by the C6Z bug, however I would rather wait, save up some more $$$ and then add a C6Z or C7Z to the stable instead of getting rid of my C5 vert. They will never remake the lines of the beautiful C5 ever again!

Love this car! The color is amazing. I saw your car in person a few years ago at Funfest, but it looks way better now!

Looks great! I would recommend you have your shop take off your Whiper Cowl and paint it to match too. It would tie in the color between the Hood and the Dash much better than the big black gap that is present currently.

Lots of work done there, you have a great looking show car there.

Sweet Whip!

I'd get a dash mat if I were you. The glare off that clear coat is gonna blind you on a sunny day!

You did a great job. Forget the C6, you have a real head turner there. The best of luck with it!

Your tail lights look great. Did you shave off the DOT lettering? If so, how was that accomplished?

Thanks.

I almost bought a new 09 Atomic Orange C6. I got the used C5 instead. Yours is sharp. I would not have done the headlights as thats one of the things they did wrong on the C6. I grew up with the C3s and am looking for an 82 right now. I fell like they discontinued the Corvette in 1984 and restarted it in a big way in 1997. Then they came out with the C6 and ruined the best Vette ever. The weird thing about the C6 is I don't hate it. If they had never made the C5 first I would like the C6 a lot better. Even with the deep discount on the C6 as it was an 09 but new, I will get both a C5 and C3, and still have money let over. Since I like the C5 and C3 better I think I made the right choice. I am driving to Newport OR to look at 2 1982s today. Great weather here today for a drive. I am taking the Sky as one is at a Chev dealer and if they offer enough I may trade that in. Not likely but if not I need another hoist to get everything inside. I guess the truck can sit outside for a few weeks. I really like how your car came out but I want to leave mine mostly stock. I wanted a black with a black interior. Now I am thinking the black interior is kinda dull. Seeing yours makes me rethink my desire to keep it all stock. Damn that looks good. The whole car except the headlights looks amazing. You should put the pop ups back on. Then it would be prefect.

love the color!
Can you tell us about the dash?

How does it feel when you push your finger into it? Is it still plyable or is it hard now?

Is glare from the sun off the dash more an issue now?

Why 82s with the cross fire issues and auto only? 80+81 look the same.

Because the Quadratoilet electronic is a pain. I am also looking at those years but I have owned several of those year GM and that carb is not very good. But tell me about those issues. Maybe I am wrong here. There are a lot more 81s around.

What are those straked ground-effect rocker panels? Are they part of the widebody kit?

It's more the factory tint at the bottom of the window that your seeing, not much you can do about that

I thought it might be an issue but it really hasn't yet. I havet driven it much because of bad weather.

I'm a big fan of red but the orange gives it a more exotic look IMO

The shop didnt give me all the details so i'm not sure about the process but the dash is still plyable but a little harder than it used to be
