Is there any other warning of low oil pressure beside the gauge in the dash?

There is the DIC, But they both work off the same sensor.

... I'm guessing your oil pressure sensor is pegged and you are debating whether to change it....

If its pegged out, then you've got a common failure of the sender and need a new one. If its zero, is there any clattering from the engine? If so, shut it off instantly.
