You can do what you want, But if mine was leaking I would have to deal with it, It may appear as a few drops a day, But it will leave a mess under the car chassis for sure.
This is just how I would have to deal with it.
Be sure that's what it actually is. You wouldn't be the first guy to miss a leaking/seeping EOP sender.
I hadn't thought about the EOP - I havn't had the opportunity to put it on the lift and investigate - all I did was notice a few drops on the ground after sitting for weeks at a time, so I assumed RMS.
If it is the sender, is there any way to easily tell and identify it? From what I recall it's hidden underneath the cowling....

No need for a lift. Come in from the top. Use an inspection mirror and a good strong flashlight. You'll see it.
