Short story, lightly hit a curb with my brand new CCW's. I've heard on here they're easy to redo, is this true? Now the long story: While sitting in my car trying to reinstall my map light in my mirror at the electronic store, a lawn guy came buy blowing dust and crap onto me and my car since my top was off. Then started coming back again, seeing this I started the car and backed out quickly hitting a curb in the narrow driveway I was in. Needless to say, I was a little PO'd, I've never have hit a curb in my Vette, much less any car I've owned. It's not as bad as it could have been, but it's still has a little rash on it, and I know about it. Just a little courtesy from this guy is all it would have taken, sorry for the RANT but I just got these babies. L8R ZFLASH
Today, like every day the lawn guys came a cut'in the grass at work. I move my car well ahead of time. I warn others at work to do the same. I'm sure you were distracted doing the repair, but as soon as I see them or hear them, I move. Sorry to hear about you new wheels.

I know it's their "job", however what are these guys thinking when they are blowing all the grass, sticks, leaves, etc. onto parked cars?! Can't they turn the mower so it blows back into the mowing area?! I saw a state worker doing this in the median the other day. He was mowing the grass and blowing it out onto the highway vs. mowing in circles and blowing it into the median grass/mulch.
Sorry to hear about the new wheels. Hopefully someone can chime in on how to repair them.
Give the John or Malissa a call at CCW and ask them for the process to correct the curb rash. I'm sure you could send the damaged wheel in for repair, however, if it's minor as you suggest, a series of lightly sanding with fine finishing paper/cloth will repair most light scratches/gouges. Since the CCW's are not clear coated, you'll have a good shot at repairing them yourself! Good luck, Ron

To bad it happened but time to get over it. Fix and enjoy car.
I'm almost over it, that's what putting it on paper does. It takes the frustration out of it, and I really do enjoy my car the 116,000 plus miles proves it. And the cleanliness and shape it's always in, is the reason this really pissed me off!L8R ZFLASH

Im thinkin its about "who" most of the people in that field actually are, I ran a landscaping company a while back and CONSTANTLY had problems like that, not just with them hitting peoples cars but wrecking work trucks and tractors too, it reached an all time high when I pulled up on two of the trucks on th side of the highway only to find two crewchiefs in a fist fight over one stealing the others mop.....
I think its just a matter of lazy and not caring.. Not saying all landscapers are like that...But, out of the hundred plus I hired it was generally only the kids trying to work through college that didnt pull that stuff.

Sorry about the damaged wheel. Good luck getting it repaired and I agree, would have been nice if the guy would have just turned the discharge side of the mower away from the cars.

Your answer lies in this reply. Go back and follow the SOB on the mower. Then when he ain't looking.
