Well one thing I'm sure of they are not steel.
My reason for wondering is that I have read comments about the wheels being light weight (and too ugly for anything except track days) so I thought maybe they were a forged wheel.

Actually it proves on face value that Killian and LSwonVette don't know much about C5 wheels or the need to check them with a magnet. Not trying to be harsh but come on, how long has it been since there were steel wheels on a Corvette?? And so far I have no confirmed answer as to cast or forged. I am guessing cast, but that is just a guess.

Is there a point to your posts then? They weren't sure and that's fine. I'm sure LSWonVette was being sarcastic. I believe none of the C5 wheels(minus some of the Z06 wheels) that are forged.

Well i have answered my own question. According to the 99 FSM they are cast aluminum.
As far as getting rid of them, mine will be hanging around for a while yet. I don't find them all that unappealing. I like polished thinspokes, but at times they look a little weak, not that they are, but not much meat there. I like Z06 wheels, especially the polished versions but don't want to contend with the Z06 wanna-be comments. CCW's and HRE's and Fikse's are my favorites but for now I'm very satisified just to be in the game.
