This weekend has been the Magic Dragon Car Show at the lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Mid afternoon I was told that there were 1053 cars entered. The parking covered several blocks on the "Strip" coming off the Dam. Both sides of the road plus the center lane were all full as well as several parking lots along the strip. Corvettes were well represented. From my observation it appeared that there were more C 6 cars than any others however there was a club or two with a lot of 70's corvettes. This has been one of the first weekends this year in Missouri that it has not rained or been unusually cold, so it seemed that everyone was willing to get their car out. This event draws quite a few spectators because it seems well organized and is well policed so there is hardly any squalling of tires or dangerous horseplay. This show is always a highlight of the summer in the "Show Me State."
That show looks really nice. A friend of mine sent a link to me last night and I would have like to attended that show.
On the other hand I've been installing my new 4 post lift and managed to shut that down yesterday to attend the OTC car show here in springfield for the afternoon.
I did see that there is a summer nite show in may or june that I'll try to attend up there.

Sorry, no pic's. You local guys may have noticed... there is a show on May 7 in the early afternoon at Lebanon and an evening show at Rolla starting two hours after the Lebanon show ends. It seems like a neat idea for two small towns to have shows where people can attend both. If the weather co operates I intend to make both of them.
I was one of the 1053 entered but got cold feet with the "pending" weather. Should of just went. I was more afraid of the getting back home storm free.

I should have gone to the lake this weekend. Would have been a lot more cars to view than there were at the Jefferson City cruise night. Hardly anyone there. I wasn't sure if newer cars could enter the Magic Dragon show - next year I'll know better.
awesome show i have been going for years, gets bigger every year i heard there was more cars, but never heard the official count, its a great area down there and osage beach is a great tourist area also
