I don't know if the smile on his face is because he gets to go to his senior prom with a very cute girl or because he gets to take his very cute girl out in dads vette tonight! either way i'm extremely proud!

Same here I am waiting for that day myself. Guess we will have to see how responsible he is when the time comes.

Good looking kids, I'm sure he'll make you proud. I got to go to the Prom in my dads then new 1969 Dodge Charger, so I know how your son feels, at least I think I can remember how he feels.

Good Deal,

He is going to have a great time

I took my vette to my girlfriends prom in 09 we went to different schools. I know the feeling he ll be fine and its a lot better than going in a limo or one of those busses.

Default senior prom update

thanks everyone for your comments, trust is an incredible thing and it makes the parent-teenager years so much easier if that premise of trust is there. I am incredibly blessed by GOD, from both my children, here is the update.
He and his girlfriend actually had 2 proms that night which involved 3 separate potential parking dilemmas, ( i know you know what i am talking about ) He and the car got home safely about 1:45 Sun morning after taking his GF home. When he got home, he told me how he looked for found strategic parking places. One was a parking garage (yuk) where he found a space next to a wall and away from everyone else. When he came back to the car, there was a nice new camaro next him. Guess the camaro knew he would be safe next to a vette. All in all, fun was had by everyone, and his GF said it was really cool to have the vette for their special evening. Now i can relax again.
