Ok so I'm now looking on the comp cam website for a new cam for the vette. They give good details about there cams and I'm going for a very streetable cam that I can use as my DD but has a big tq gain but my question is what else do I have to get besides the cam. My budget isn't huge so I'm not doing heads yet but can I just throw the new cam in and if not what acquiring parts do I need.

By the way you are talking for now I would get a set of new lifters. If what is in the car now has groves are what ever on them you dont want that going onto new cam this would be wear marks. That is really all if you are not going to be getting really hard on it. But also check with comp cam and tell them how many miles is on the car and what do they think on the valve springs of stock to the cam your getting is calling for........Robert
