Has anyone purchased the NCM 3-Piece trunk hood liner? I was looking at similar product that had a higher cost, however this one from the NCM looks nice. I'm curious whether or not the logo is embroidered vs. a decal and what type of material the sections are made of. Perhaps carpet?
Before I call them, I was hoping someone who already has it can give a real-life review.
it is embroidered on thin black trunk carpet wrapped on a 1/4 piece of board
Thanks. Do you own of these trunk liners? It looks nice, however I wanted to make sure it was the same product, or just as nice as this more expensive ($30.00 more) option which does have a stiched logo on Carpet however the logo looks larger...
These are supplied to the Museum AND other major Corvette retailers by a retired Corvette engineer named Lloyd who lives in Bowling Green. Found him on the Auction site. His company's name is Brite Ideas and phone is 1(270)535-5623. Paid $85.00 for them in March--very high quality. FWIW.

Thanks. Is he the same guy that created the stitched logo/carpet engine hood liner? I heard that he was the person who made them for Car Motorsports. Not sure if that is true or not...
Not sure. He also makes the sound dividers for the trunk of the convertibles and FRCs. What keyed me was that the pictures on the Auction site and those in several retailer's catalogues were the same. Very nice guy to do business with.

I will contact him and find out. I just checked the auction site and it pays to shop around. This 3-piece kit is priced between $85 and $169 depending on which vendor is selling it. Same picture, so I assume it's the same product!
I just got one from him on ebay. I had the one piece one in before and it wouldn't stick. This one fits like it was custom made. Ordered it Tuesday, got it today. Cost $89 plus $12 shipping. Well worth it.

What was used to keep it mounted without falling off?
It comes with pre-attached self stick velcro strips. I bought a pack of industrial strength self stick velcro and added more to it. These things are so light weight that unlike the one piece one (which is way too heavy) nothing is going to pull them down. I'm very pleased with them. Just be sure to clean the area you're applying them to with alcohol and let it dry first.
I had the one piece prior to these and it never stayed up. It warped and pulled off constantly. I don't see that happening with this. I wouldn't pay $139 for it, but $89 is well worth it.
By the way, mine has the Z06 badge on it. The guy has any emblem you want including the American flag Vette emblem.
Check out forum member DeeGee's home made version. I think his is better than anything available on the market. He has a thread that shows construction and installation and it is very, very nice. He does excellent work IMHO.
