Default AC problems

2003 Vette

When I try to turn the AC on the light turns on for couple seconds then blinks and turns off?

Can anyone direct me where I can find some answers?

Thanks!!

Thats usually a sign of low freon. Check it or have it checked.

I agree. A professional shop is the best place to go and shouldn't cost that much

Had the compressor replaced last spring....looks like she's going back to them.

I've heard that it will not come on if the outside temp is below 60 or 65...is this true??

Thanks for the replies!

No , not true. It is lower than that, but it also depends on the outside temp and what you have it set to. It will come on in the winter to take the moisture out of the air, just like most new cars do.

Its between 38-42 or somewhere in there that the system will not turn on the compressor.
