Default potential transmission / clutch problem?

hi,

i had the 30k mile-check for my 2003 z06 done at a chevy dealer a while ago and was told the car is in great shape. however lately i have noticed a clunky noise when turning off the engine.

if the car is in neutral, the clutch is pressed in and i turn it off it's fine. however if the clutch ISN'T pressed in and i turn off the car it makes a clunky noise. also from time to time the tranny is kinda clunky when i'm going through the gears. i think it mostly happens in the lower rpm's as i haven't really noticed it when driving "spiritedly". i doubt it is the problem described in this post because that doesn't really explain the clunky noise when turning off the engine, or am i wrong?

any input is much appreciated! thanks in advance.

Don't allow your car to make the "clunking noise" when shutting down.
Push your clutch in. Shut off the motor & don't release the clutch untill the mortor shuts down.
If your that close to Cream Ridge NJ, ( ECS )East Coast Supercharging I suggest having your car maintained by them.
They know C/5's inside out.
Good luck.

Completely normal sound when you turn off your car and the clutch not pushed in. Well documented here over the years.

Just leave your clutch in when turning off you car.

ok good to know it's nothing out of the ordinary. I only bought the car about a month ago so I'm still new to it . Thanks a lot!
