Windshield Wipers
I think that my windshield wipers are haunted. I bought my 02 Vette last July. THe wiper motor needed to be replaced and that was done. This weekend the wipers just started working on their own. The wiper lever will not stop or for that matter start them. This is all brand new.
Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this type of problem?

sounds like you either have a short or a loose ground that may be acting like the wiper switch to turn them on and rendering the stalk inoperable. i admit i am just taking a stab in the dark on it. of course the stalk switch could have gone south on you also.

Here is something that was posted here on the forum back in 2007 that might be worth checking out:
OK, wife and I took the 1998 out and the damn wipers started going all by their selves. Wouldn't shut off or respond to the switch. Pulled over, pulled the fuse to stop them from going, and finished the ride. Now, I need to know WHY this happened. Anyone got any info to share?
Answers: I had the same problem during a cruise at the C5/C6 bash. I bought a wiper motor and replaced the old one on my lunch break last week. Replacing the motor and cleaning out the udders took about 30 minutes. Now mine work perfectly.
I suspect the reason it is happening is that your udders are filled (or were at one time) with trash and the water could not drain out and the motor got wet.
Another answer: Clean out the utters, then grab a hair dryer and dry the motor and circuit board. Same thing happened to my last Corvette and after I dried everything out it worked fine. That reminds me, I have to clean out the new Corvette before I have the same problem.
