So as everyone know I had a set of rear speed-lines extended to 12" wheel from 10.5. Tried mounting them on last week and I found out they not only hit the "A" arm, but also hang under the body half an inch. That is not flush either to the hub. I am not ready to mini-tub yet, so I am going to use Hub-Centric wheel spacers.
My question is has any one used them and what are your experiences with them.

I talked to CCW and for $100 they CNC'd me a set of 5/8" hub centric spacers that are awesome. Longer ARP studs, and all is good in the universe.
Oh yeah, when the new spacers showed up, the axle ends were hitting the inside of the spacer hub, so we had to drill them out. You may want to ask CCW to do that for you before shipping.
Are you sure the spacers will do the trick? I couldn't find hubcentric spacers when I was hunting around, just generic ones and they didn't even solve the problem. Good luck!
I would just mini-tub it - actually I did just mini-tub when my wheels didn't fit

The minimum size that you can make a hub centric spacer is 5/8". If you were looking for something smaller, you could look forever without finding them.
One thing to remember about putting spacers and longer studs is that if you ever go back to wheels that fit right, your studs will be too long for regular lugnuts. You will either have to change the studs again or use open ended lugnuts.

Thanks for the info.
The ones I am looking from Hubcentric are the ones that come with their own studs. You mount them, to the original studs on your hub. You torque them down, run your wheel for about 15 to 20 min take the wheel off, re-torque and they stay put. The wheel actually runs on the studes that the spacer has. I'll try to get a pic here soon so you can take a look.

Those are not called spacers. They are called adapters. Minimum size is one inch.

Is the outside part of the wheel currently flush with the fender? If it is then adding any additional space will put the wheel past the fender, in which case it will not work. You either have to run a mini tub OR if you don't want to run a mini tub get fender flares such as TPE or L5's. With this set up you can run wheel adapters up to 1.5" that should make the wheel flush with the fender again.

Well it is and i think I am going to go with a 1" adapter. If it sticks out a little i don't mind. I like the old school look of the tire sticking some what out of the fender. The car is lowered on stock bolts, and the boot is still intact so I am sure it won't rub. Now the shocks I have are the PERF IAS Shock from Edlebrock. Stiff as hell but they do their job very well. So I don't think I will get the tire rub. Maybe if I go with a 35 profile tire but I am gonna run a 335/30-18 for now in the rear and am going to take the rear wheel (18X10.5) move them up front and run a 295/30-18 front.

This thread is a little "aged", but i'm looking at getting my stock Z wheels widened from 10.5" to 12" by Weldcraft also, and they quoted me at $200/wheel. Just an fyi
Planning on going with the L5R flares, 335/30 tire, and a 1.25-1.5" adapter/spacer, w/e the hell it's called. Been any "new" places so to speak on where to find the most durable adapter/spacer?
