Default noisy runflats

Recently purchased Michelin PS2 A/S ZP (run flats) for my 04. These are as loud as the original Goodyear EMT's. Okay on asphalt, but you cannot carry on a conversation with a passenger at highway speeds when traveling on concrete roads. This is the reason I got rid of the GY's. Why in heck would Corvette design a car in this way? I am ready to sell this noisy SOB and return to driving my '84 which is quieter even being 20 years older. Only 1 more option to try, Michelin has a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. ANY THOUGHTS?

I can't be quoted, witness protection and all, but that is why I went with non- runflats when I bought wheels and tires.

The "peace of mind" is unarguable. but the noise and harsh ride is.

Be that as it is.......

OK, so for these tires to be able to "run" with no air in them, the sidewalls have to be made of some very strong and rigid material...you do the math. Go with a quality PERFORMANCE non-runflat tire, a can of tire sensor friendly fix-a-flat, a 12V air compressor, plug kit and a cell phone...and enjoy the quiet, high performance ride

Dump the run flats. You will not be disappointed. I recently did and I can actually hear my radio at highway speeds! Also, the improvement in ride quality is tremendous. I went with Hankook V12's which are very popular with members, for good reason.

I recently replaced the OEM Goodyears with Hankook Ventus V12's.
What a difference! I can now enjoy the sound system and even hear my wife ( Good thing? )
I wish I'd have made some before/after decibel measurements - the difference must be significant.
The Tire Rack pricing was good too, and there's a $60 rebate right now.
Just my 2 cents.

Yeah for the first time in my life I'll be happy to have to purchase new tires, when my Michelin PS' wear out. But that'll be a while as they are still in pretty good shape.

There is a reason for the nickname "Runcraps"
