NCM Visit
My brother and I will be heading to the NCM on Monday the 23rd. We will be staying 2 nights. On the way up we are going to hit Deals Gap (Tail of the Dragon).
I would like some feedback on places to stay while in town for 2 nights. Price is not the main factor, but a consideration. I do not want to stay in a roach motel or some place that I have to worry about the car overnight. Any suggestions would be great.

Here's a link to the NCM webpage. There is a list of recommended hotels in the area that should help make your decision.
I've made the trip 3 times over the years and stayed at the Hampton Inn a couple miles south of the NCM and plant. Large lighted parking lot usually occupied by several other Corvettes.

Would be great to meet some forum members. This is the week my brother always comes down from NY. It's our race week, we do the All Star Race, Pole Night, Nationwide Race and Coca Cola 600. Last year we did alot of the Race Shops on Mon, Tues and Wed. This year we are doing the NCM and GM Tour on Mon, Tues and Wed.

Wherever you stay, your visit to the NCM will be a great time. Lots to see. And if they are offering tours of the plant, be sure to take that in also.

Reasonable rates, clean (looks recently built), the well lit lot was filled with C5's/C6's (but still plenty of room) for the days we stayed for the C5/C6 Bash at the NCM a few weeks ago.
They even had a hose out and some towels so you could wash your car :-) (which I needed to after the 920 miles straight we dorve to get there).

I would have skipped the C5/C6 Bash earlier this month and definitly gone to the Corvette Forum one. Oh well, theres always next year I guess.....enjoy folks
