Default Buyer beware

FYI
So I decided to install some clear paint protection on the C5 myself. Went with invisible mask and after waiting over three weeks for delivery, I was very pleased with the outcome of the installation on the front bumper. Then decided to add rocker panels and wheel openings. Waited over three weeks again for delivery, but after opening the package and laying out the pieces, found film cut-outs were not fitting in the proper locations as advertised. It has been over a week of no return emails and phone messages to find out how to resolve this problem. The only option I am left with is to call my credit card company for a disbute to be filed. I guess I will Give Xpel paint protection a try.

I've heard of too many stories of people buying these films over the internet for 3-400 dollars, instead of having an authorized dealer do it for couple hundred more, do it themselves and screw it up. (Not that I'm saying that OP screwed it up as issues are of mfgr side...)

Things like this takes skill IMHO. it is not like changing an oil or replacing brake pads. I don't know bout xpel, but those 3M films, they will not honor warranty unless an authorized dealer installs it.

I agree Kutal, the application of film is not for everybody. Not even for a very good mechanic. However a tinted window film guy would do fine. It is like comparing apples to oranges. I have been installing the stuff on aircraft for years, so for me installing it was not a big deal. Just need the right pieces.
