Washer pump issue
Before i put my 02 z06 supercharged away last year it had a humming coming from the front drivers side when started. Also when i was driving it the washer fluid all flew out onto window. I took it to chevy yesterday and they said the windshield washer pump is stuck on, and they said the repair for it was to change the multi-function switch, and it cost alot. It doesnt seem like the switch its self causes this issue, everything else on the switch works fine. Any ideas would be great chevy quoted me 650$ for part in labor.. Not paying that. Help please its spring n time to enjoy. Thanks

I had a similar problem with my 2002. My washer pump would randomly turn on (NOT the wipers, just the washer pump). The only way to stop it was to repeatedly stab the washer button. It happened so often that the car was basically undrivable. I finally decided to take it to a Chevy dealership to get it fixed. They ended up replacing a switch (GM part no. 26047377 - $240.10 retail) which fixed the problem. Total cost was $350. Not great, but it's fixed! Hope this helps.
