Completely Disable Memory?
I have searched... a LOT here and used google on this site. got nothing.
I am not sure if it's possible my problem is my mirror is messed up. if i install it and leave it alone, it's fine stays where i put it, etc. but when memory comes on it pops the feelers out of their sockets and sets the mirror so i can see traffic. no matter what i do it does this. i do have easy entry turned off. i never move my mirror etc.
Not sure of any way of fixing it without spending a ton of cash on a new mirror. but it's going to get me into something bad sooner or later with limited visibility.
i also don't particulary like the memory anyway so it wouldn't bother me not having that feature.

get in the car without using the fob. Put the key in the ignition, turn it to on, set the mirror where you want it to stay. Then hold down the memory 1 button for a few seconds, then 2 for a few seconds, then both together for a few seconds (each one of these actions until they stop blinking). That will set all three memories to the same position and then no matter what fob you use to open the car, that mirror will already be in the position you want it.

I have this same problem and would love to be able to just disable the memory feature. Does anyone know how?
I've tried setting all three memories to the exact same settings as mentioned, but every time I unlock the car with the fob the driver's side mirror moves just a little, and the steering wheel moves a little toward the dash. After about 3 unlocks, The mirror and steering wheel are in totally wrong places. I really want to be able to use the fob to unlock the car.

i believe you can reset the memory by removing the fuse (or relay) that controls that system for a bit. i'm at work and don't have nay manuals handy, but someone should chime in with the correct unit to disconnect without killing off the whole system (which could also be accomplished more than likely by pulling the battery cable for a bit and then replacing it.

Ever have any luck disabling the memory? Mine has started doing the same thing as yours. I also only have one key fob (and would like to continue to use it), have also tried setting all three memory settings to the same seat/mirror position with no luck. So whenever I get in my car, the driver's mirror is looking at the ground and sometimes the seat is scooted forward. What the hell!

Maybe shoot a PM to forum member Bill Curlee - he knows a lot about the C5 electrical system and perhaps he can steer you in the right direction for disabling the memory portion of the mirrors.

The Corvette comes with 2 key FOBs from the factory. Look on the back and it should say either "1" or "2". I use my #2 key FOB and have MY personal settings saved to the memory slot #2. That way whenever I unlock my door with the FOB it recognizes the #2 FOB and puts my seat at the settings I saved under memory slot #2.
If I use FOB #1 it puts the seat to wherever my settings are for memory slot #1. Simple as that.
If it works other than that, there may be an underlying issue that needs addressing

Try unplugging the seat harness. When I switched out my seat to manual slider Corbeaus on my old C5, I lost random things like my telescoping steering wheel, which must be routed through the seat. I could still move my mirrors but don't think they responded to the memory input. Maybe... give it a try.
