Default depends

In my personal opinion:

Not if you spend $19.95 for the pre-made kit. You can buy what you need for $5 or less.

Not if your ambient temperature is usually very warm, say 80 or above (like me in FLA).

The bypass keeps your engine coolant from warming up the TB and makes your computer think it needs (or can make use of) more fuel.

If the IAT sensor is already sensing very warm air I think the usefulness of the bypass is neglible.

Someone else will disagree, i"m sure.

Bypassing coolant around the throttle body probably only makes marginal temperature difference to the incoming air when at operating temperature. But it certainly does make it easier to remove/replace the throttle body.

ive owned a bunch of cars that i've joined related forums for, and this comes up everywhere that a carb isnt involved. its all mixed opinion everywhere you go..

being as this is like $5, and these forums are still mixed, why has nobody logged before/after IAT temps? ill do the bypass and post before/after IAT readings sometime this month if nobody else has done it

That little U-shaped hose is a PIA to remove.
