Any suggestions as to where to get tires put on in the Peninsula area of Virginia...Newport News, Hampton area...I dread having to take it to some goober at Firestone or pay a ton at a dealership and have one of their morons mess something up...may just have to take the wheels off and take 2 in at a time somewhere
Thanks for any and all suggestions
I bought a set of tires from Tire Rack and had them installed by the Infinity dealer in Dayton Ohio. Word was they were the run-flat experts in the area since they come on the Infinity. They mounted and balanced all four and disposed of the old tires for only $56.00. Also, had the car alligned for only $98.00.
Call your local Infinity dealer and see what they will do for you.
Tire Rack has a list of preferred installers on their website.
I have called all the "preferred installers" and none of them had a Hunter road force balancer or even wanted to mount them after I told them it was a Corvette...
I did find one place that will do it with the up to date road force Hunter balancing equipment for $37.00 each...oh well...and they have to take the tpms monitors off and required me to get new seals which is understandable...all the Firestone places I called had a bunch of goobers who didn't even know what Hunter road force meant......and Goodyear basically told me to get forked unless I bought Hankooks from them at $275 more than online and I told them to get forked....anyway I did find a good place thats famuily owned and the people are very nice and also careful with the wheels...

There could be a "goober" for a tire changer in that family as well.
I would take some pictures of each wheel before they touch them.
Hope it turns out well for you.
I can't offer you a suggestion for a specific shop, however if possible, just bring the wheels/new tires in for the mounting and not the Corvette.
I would also suggest that you have the manager sign off on the condition of the wheels before any work is performed. That way, there is no "confusion" if any damage occurs.
I've only swapped tires once and that was when I purchased a wheel/tire combo package so all I had to do was mount them. Good luck!

Thanks, on that suggestion I am taking 2 wheels and 2 tires in at a time..and I will point out that my rims are infact perfect.'
I just had a new set of Pilot Sports mounted/balanced/installed at the dealer for $25 per wheel. They also did a 4 wheel alignment for $59. Car drives great and I'm happy.

Not all dealerships suck.
True enough. There are enough stories about "bad" dealerships floating around that most people won't even try one. I take my vert to the dealer here in Flagstaff for warranty work and have had no problems. It's Andy at A&A for all the mods and high horse power stuff tho.
