When they heat up, they will be at 32-33 lbs.

30 psi cold

Why do you people not read the owners manual???? Summer, winter, it doesn't matter because 30psi cold is the correct setting.

If you run 30 cold in the summer it can heat up to 35+ on asphalt and thats too much...I run 30-31 hot in my area and that means 27-28 cold for me

BTW...according to our resident C5 engineer...Evil-Twin...30 cold on the door sticker is generic...he knows what the real deal is...been following his expertise/advice for 10 years now...

Cause that's too hard for them to do, they would rather think of posting something that's been posted over a zillion times without searching first and then expect a quick answer..............

In Arizona, I run about 26-27 cold with daytime temps reaching well into the triple digits. My net is about 32psi hot. Winter time, I run about 29 cold with close to the same net.

The point is you should run what works best in your climate. Too much is not better in this case.

As far as this topic being discussed about a billion times - yes it has. But not everyone remembers what's been discussed and what hasn't. And to be honest the search on this site is not the most user friendly. So I guess we can say if you don't want to help, then don't post and move on to another thread where you can make a contribution Also, many of these cars now have been through a couple of ownership changes, and strangely enough, the owner's manuals disappear. Aren't we all supposed to be on the same side here?

Does anyone run Nitrogen in their tires?
It should keep the pressures at what is set cold if you do.
We run it in our race car tires to keep stagger constant during the race.

I never knew Nitrogin did this.
Isn't this forum great - one question leads to another bit of knowledge.

From what I understand is that Nitrogen has very little moisture in it and the moisture is what causes the air pressure to rise, when hot..Also with less moisture , the aluminum rims do not corrode as fast, at the beads and the rim thus less leaks.
Goggle nitrogen , and get the story.
Jay Leno is all about Nitrogen.
I also have been told real air has a lot of Nitrogen in it, but pure Nitrogen is better.
I had it installed in my Tahoe tires in Fla , by a machine that takes out the air with a machine, then puts in Nitrogen with out removing the rims from the truck.
It does it 2 times to insure all the air is changed to Nitrogen.
Cost $39.95

I would say whatever gets you to 32 psi when warmed up. Thats usually 28ish for me in summer, and 30 in the winter.

Air contains roughly 78% nitrogen. I guess the question would be "is the extra 22% worth the cost?"

I can see in a racing application, where tire pressure can be a big factor. for everyday driving, I cant see the benefit for the price.
