Default Where can I .........

I'm new to anything after C4 vettes. Where can I find a genealogy of C5s from 1997 to 2004, like how many years did they make the FRC, what performance upgrades were made each year, stuff like that. I had a Corvette Black Book when I owned my '90 roadster and learned a lot there. When the '97 came out I went to the Chevy Store and sat in one and decided no more C4s. Then I built a house and an experimental airplane and lost touch with the Corvette line for a while. Now I sold the Mini CS and Z28 and am looking for a C5.

Two very good resources. You can also just do a search on this forum - try somthing like differences in C5 Corvettes.

but i would get a used copy on amazon. since you are looking for C5 stuff, any black book printed for year 2005 and later will have all the C1-C5 information and be half the price of a brand new one (the 2011 book would cost you around $19 or so and one that was older would be lots cheaper and yet still have all the information you could want.

If you're looking at a C5. C5 z from 02-04 is best the later years 04s especially have fuel issues, yet they have improved suspension tuning.

01Zs are down on power from 02+

In General i'd stick with 02+ most of the bugs were worked out and they came with the most power.

Thanx guys.

I found a post with a list of many many issues, and that helped me make up my mind. I'll be looking for a TR, MR or B/B 2002 Z06 that hasn't been modded.

cash ~$20K depending on mileage
