Default Stock Cam specs 03 Z06

I want to replace the cam in my 03Z and I am trying to determine what to purchase. I think my decision would be much easier if I knew the specs of the stock cam. Can someone provide them?

Thank you

What are your plans? I'm looking to replace the cam in my '03 Z as well. Looking to put down about ~425 to the rear wheels. My car is a daily driver, not interested in the track myself. Just want to kind of keep up with the newer cars.

For now my plans are a valve train upgrade, Rocker Arms, Push Rods, Valve Springs and a cam. I am thinking of going with a compucam,
222/224 .566/.568 112 LSA. I know that is a lot smaller than a lot of the cams I see on here but I have been doing a as much research as I can before I make a decision and I can't imagine that those bigger cams make the power where you want it unless you have a significant upgrade in the TB, intake and heads. I want to see my ET at the track drop with a cam swap, not just my HP numbers go up on the dyno which is what I think a lot of people like to see and then assume their car is quicker. I am going to read some more about it and then make a decision that will probably be the wrong one no matter how much time i spend trying to avoid it.....

That looks like a Comp XE lobe. Their XER and XFI lobes are frequently cited as having more power under the curve due to their more aggressive ramp rates and greater peak lift. This with the same or less duration, mind you. Just something for you to look into.

Take a look at the Texas Speed 228R, it's the XER lobe and many have had great results with the LS motors and this cam. I really like mine. The guys over on LS1Tech show alot of love for the 228R also.

I think you might want to go a bit bigger than 222/224, 228R would be great choice

If low emissions is important to you, check out LG's G5X1E cam which will easily pass an emissions test with a professional tune. Lots of guys running this cam with good results.

What kind of driveability does that cam offer? Does it sound aggressive?

What kind of driveability does that cam have?

What type of power does it make? Where does it make the power at?

I love my 228R in my 03Z. Drives like stock until you mash the go pedal, then you feel more grunt everywhere. Heres my Dyno with 228R 112, LTs, Caltess X and underdrive.

The lift on this CAM really doesn't seem worth the effort of a full blown CAM swap. You can go with some rocker arms that can provide a higher lift rate on your stock CAM provide a little more power.

I am running a 228/234 .588/.595 on a 112+4 LSA and sitting at 415 rwhp (give or take a few ponies) and it provides great daily driving capability, great sound and nice power throughout the RPM bands. I drive my car everyday. With a decent tune and this CAM with my LTs and VARARAM I am very happy.

Keep us posted.

image snipped cause I hate when people quote large images
How does it feel below 3200 rpm? I hate when dyno operators start at half of your redline. I'm considering a 228R too. I don't think a split setup will be necessary with the LTs, hiflow cat X, and cutouts on stock Tis that I am planning.

Its great down low, no surging unless you get under 1k rpm. Its got a healthy amount more grunt down low than stock. You can just roll on the power regardless of rpm without the need to downshift to be thrown back in your seat. Thats what i like about this cam, you feel the power everywhere, its nice and flat and usable at any rpm. A lot of bigger cams give up all your bottom end and need to be revved up to feel the power. This just feels like more cubes.
