This is my forth. I have been pulled over once but no ticket. My parents had just moved here and I was home on leave. I was trying to find a place and realized I missed my turn. I did a big U-Turn in the middle of the intersection and that is when I got hit with the lights. Now this was in 1968 and I was driving a 1966 BB 427/425 roadster. When the 2 officers (yes they use to have two officers to a car) found out I had just moved here and was home on leave from the service they decided to not write the ticket. Here is the good part. When they looked the car over they asked if it was a real 427. Then they asked if they could try it out. So I said sure, I stayed with their squad and off they went. They were back in about 5 minutes and then gave me an escort to where I was going. This was around 11 pm and they rolled the sidewalks up around 9 pm back then, so there were not a lot of cars around. True story.
I was told that 10 years ago also.Never been pulled over.
only i was told that almost 40 years ago. just about like with any other vehicle, do something really stupid and you can count on seeing some flashing lights. one way or the other either the lucky way (being pulled over by the law), or the unlucky way, (from the emergency vehicle coming to scrape you up).
only one ticket so far. and that was beucase i put on the black out kits on the back which apperently is illegal here >_< seems like most people get pulled over for either being stupid or doing specific mods to their car
Never been pulled over in this Vette but I deserve it every time I drive it. Pulled over in the '99 and deserved it, 74mph in a 55mph but got a warning for front license plate. Actually I deserve to get pulled over 10 times a day no mater what I'm driving. In SoCAL speed limit signs are treated by the driving public as 'guide lines' or 'suggestions'. Freeway signs say 65 mph but everyone of us do 80+ sometimes right beside the cop in the next lane who is doing the same speed.
Owned GTO for 2 years...pulled over once because I had no inspection sticker when I first registered...I still had a week left on the deadline so I was ok, no ticket.
Going on 2 months on the vette and nothing yet.
With that being said, I drive like a grandma when I am cruising because I love 30+ mpg. So I go 65 on the hwy...
But my old GTO had 459 rwhp....every single on ramp I would hit 100+ mph. Still no tickets...just need to be smart where you speed. You will get more tickets if you are one of those 75-80 mph cruisers than if you simply do an occasional 3rd gear blast but then cruise at 65-70.
Never been pulled over in the vette, but have been pulled over lots of time in my other cars. Most of the time, I get a warning, but have gotten a few tickets here and there.

Well done. My brother, bless his soul, got to test the top speed of his Impala SS on freeway in police escort. Well, except that the police car topped out before the Impala. The cop being his ex-girlfriend helped a bit.
/And to OP: never been stopped in a vette. More than once in Volvo.
You are not going to get pulled over unless you give the cop reason to. They must have probable cause before they can touch you. Now of course touching the yellow line, a little too dark tint. one tail light not as bright as the other etc etc could be considered cause but they are not going to do it for no reason. Too much court time and too little chance of conviction. I have been pulled over twice times in my life. Once in my C3, (72 454 vert) because the officer said my sidepipes were too loud. No muffler insert. So yeah they were too loud and once on my CBR1000RR for doing 10 over. He didn't write the ticket since I pulled over immediately and didn't try to run.
Pewter Corvette....only once so far, at night. I was on a two lane highway, late, virtually no traffic to speak of. Noticed headlights coming up from behind fast....catching up quickly....figured it was either Police or some Mustang that wanted to play.
When it got behind me, I couldn't tell what it was so I maintained a STEADY 55 mph. In the meanwhile, this clown is backing off me, then speeding up on me, backing off again and speeding up...did this about five times. Weird. I remain STEADY.
So, there is this one corner that is real rough if you stay in the main lane......so I cut it over the fog line......ON come the lights....instantly. I'm glad I assumed the car was Police.
So I hand him registration and insurance and he said he's stopping me for not staying in the lane on the corner. I say "Have you LOOKED at that corner??!" I explain that I always cut that corner and he says I must be familiar with the road....You bet, probably MORE familiar than he is.
So he gets another call that apparently took priority and says to me......now get this....."I'm giving you a warning for varying your speed"
HUH!!??? HE was the one varying his frickin' speed!! What the....??
He took off before I could ask what the he** he was talking about.....
A Corvette is no different than any other car. Sure, it will stand out more and be seen rather easily, but you won't get pulled over just because you're in a Vette. As long as you're not being an idiot, you shouldn't get pulled over without reason.
