I have a c5 cp supercharged, with shorty headers, high flow cats, and straight pipes. Car sounds ok when i get on it, but very quiet at idle. Would a cam and/or long tubes wake my car up with power and more volume at idle? I want more rumble at idle?
Longtubes will deepen the sound and give it a nice growl. A Cam will give you a nice chop/lope depending on size. Since your supercharged, I would recommend looking into various cam setups that will work well with your setup. England green has just about the most obnoxious cams (which I believe to sound pretty badass ). But it's all up to you in what you wish to obtain in regards to power, sound, etc. all with driveability in mind.

I wouldn't say a "big" difference but enough that you would notice it.
Longtubes and a Cam will give you quite a bit more sound and a nice little hp/torque bump as well. That's the way I would go if I were you plus I'd toss in a little meth setup if you don't already run it.
What all are you looking to accomplish? Are you merely looking for just more sound or would you be happy with more sound plus more power?
Of course! Every time I hear a cam from you guys all I can think of is.... sex . They have an amazing sound and I've seen plenty of great results come from them!
