I was going to make a joke about no longer being horny, but maturity kicked in.
I no longer have a working horn. I press the horn areas of wheel cover and nothing.
A. Checked #11 fuse in engine bay ( not blown, and even replaced it with known good fuse)
B. Set "Activate lights & horn" for lock notification (horn blows when fob lock is pressed)
Is the air bag cover easy to remove (ie. just held on with friction). I'd like to remove it to check horn ring & wires, but don't want to tear up cover.
Any other ideas? It's a pretty simple function, so I'm assuming it's either a broken/loose wire, or a defective horn switch/ring.
I removed and replaced my horn membrane using the instructions above last year... It really wasn't a bad job. I'd highly recommend an allen style torx key for the torx bolts on the back of the steering wheel. Also, if you don't want to repair your existing membrane ecklers sells new ones. The membrane itself cannot be bought from GM, you have to buy the airbag too
