asking price for a modded 97 spd?
Hey Guys,
I'm considering picking up a low mileage z06 with no motor for a very reasonable price since I've been meaning to build an engine for my current C5. however, I'd probably need to sell my C5, but I'm uncertain on what I can even get for it to see if it's worth it or not. What do you think I could get for a 97, 6 spd with 84k on it and the following mods;
engine;
- 228 Cam, pushrods, and pac springs
- Katech rod bolts (1500 miles)
- OBX LT's
- Carbon Airbridge
- Blackwing filter
- B and B route 66 exhaust
- 243 heads, CNC (not installed, prolly sell seperately)
Drivetrain
- Hardened output shafts
- Ls7 clutch, ram flyweel, z06 slave and master w/remote bleeder (1500miles)
- DTE brace
- Rebuild torque tube, (billet rear, new rubber one on the front) (1500 miles)
Other
- C6 Z51 brakes and stainless lines
- C6 polished wheels with bald fronts and new RE11 rears
- Tow hitch with a set of ***** that have scraped the road a bunch
- Poly Bushing throughout (no squeeks, but a PITA to install)
- lowered on stock bolts
- just aligned 2 weeks ago, drives perfect.
- no cats, tuned for mi
Bad
- rock chips on front (typical)
- seat belt light always on (just started, will fix befor eI sell)
- normal wear and tear and such for a 97
Let me know what you think I should do, I'm really on the fence thinking of selling the car for a Z06 since I alreay have a well sorted car already...

Your problem is going to be finding someone that wants your car with all the mods. Further, you may be a bit high on the price for a '97 with 84K miles on it and the mods won't add all that much to the price unfortunately.
