It started off as a garage queen from the first day until Sept '08 when I gave up the company truck. At that time I had 12k miles and has been my DD ever since. It gets washed every Fri/Sat rain or shine here in the PNW. She is 100% stock except I moved the rear wheels to the front and install 18x12's with 335's on the rear. I avg 19-21mpg in rush hour traffic too. So without further delay her she is in all her splendor! (I sure hope this link works)
Ah, but I do it in the garage and use my leaf blower to dry it. I actually did that way yesterday because as usual it was raining here. Today is great therefore the pics.
What's so unusual about washing your car in the rain? I do, Mr. Peabody (he has a C4) does it, as well as others that live in the great PNW. If we did not we would never get to wash our cars.

Exactly! When I first moved here in '95 from Florida I realized that first week that if I let the rain influence my wash schedule then I would have one hell of a dirty car when the sun did come out. As I told a friend, once it gets away from you (meaning not cleaning) you will never get it all the way back. So I do it weekly regardless.

It's unusual to a person that never washes their car in the rain, that's all. I've never even heard of anyone doing that. I suppose if it's just a light sprinkle then it's no big deal obviously. Just pull it into the garage after to dry it off. I was trying to make a joke, but it was missed completely. Forgot how serious everyone is in this forum.
Thanks for the compliments. It does take a lot of work keeping it looking good. I got the joke about the rain and no issues with me. That's why I had to clarify that it can be raining outside but I am definitely not standing in it washing my car. I am in the garage instead. I have found this helps keep the garage floor clean too!
