Default AC switch question

I took my Vette out for a drive this weekend, I tried to turn on the AC. The light on the switch stayed on for a few seconds then went off. I pushed it in again and it never really stayed on.
Does anyone know if the switch could be bad or my AC could be bad, maybe a leak?

Default Sounds like you are low on freon

If colder I would say the compressor is cutting out because of low temp. Can also cut off if freon charge is low. Put some guages on and if low add some freon.
