Default Front plate seal....

Hi,

I see there is a rear tail light seals available, and I wonder if there is a seal made for the front plate too?

If not someone needs to make one

Oh, and body colour would be good too

Guess I don't understand what you are asking about - why would you need a seal for the front plate - the area behind the plate is solid so no water can get in there anyway. Various vendors do offer a front plate surround that is painted body color and it does make the area look much better.

Are we talking about a seal for the clear plastic bubble that goes over the lic. plate?

I can't see where you would need a front plate seal.

It would serve no real function except to fill the gap. It might not look bad on a black car, but I think it would stand out to much on any other color. Use EPDM closed cell foam if you decide to try it. The closed cell will repel moisture and dust better than the typical open cell home improvement store door/window seal product.

It should be good for only 2 horsepower though...

Only 2 hp, I thought at least 4 ! J/K

This is for around the body coloured licence plate cover.

Reason I want one if for the same reason as the rear tailight seals, to stop the drip of water once you've washed / dried your car, and 10 minutes later a run appears from the plate recess....

Which vendors offer the body color front plate surround seal?

Cheers for the help

I doubt you'll find any vendors who offer a front plate seal, especially in body color. There just isn't any customer demand for it. But easily done with good ol' USA DIY enginuity. You could come up with a product and sell it...but don't plan on getting rich from it.

I use air from my shop compressor to blow out the excess water after washing.
