Hubby and I own a 2003 Z 06 EB with Borla Quad 4 Round Exhaust. We thought we could purchase a Exhaust Enhancement Plate but after research we find that the plates will not fit.
Corvette Central sells a C5 Underwing which will definitely fit. We would have our body shop paint the Underwing and fits under the exhaust pipes. The Underwing can be viewed on page 91 of Corvette Central's 5 E Catalog.
If any of you have seen this item mounted please give me your opinion. Thanks!
Less is more...why clutter up the back end with goofy add on crap. Leave well enough alone.
I thumb through that catalog and it's just junk upon more junk. That's how you end up seein those guys at the car cruise with taillight inserts, mesh screens, jake badges, chrome trim, valve stem tips....all kinds of garbage clutterin up a clean car.
The area those plates are stuck on are larger than the plates, so it shouldn't matter which exhaust tips you have, you can slide it under and stick it on, I would think. Which Borla system do you have? I once had two tip Stingers, and that's about the same time I had a plate on that was about like Pauls. Some brands of plates also have circular cutouts that leave extra room for pipes/
