Default technical difficulties

last night my 99 coupe with 24000 miles started doing weird things. i noticed the the dash lights (speedo/ tach) stayed on longer than usual before timing out and my passenger side window would not work at all. i drove the car home and put it on the battery tender and charged the battery for two days. i disconnected the battery cables and relearned the idle. the power window works fine now but the right side of my speedometer, fuel, ect. does not illuminate when the lights are turned on. is this something i can fix or is this going to be a dealer nightmare where i will have to bend over and grab my ankles........clay

Don't think you will have to go that far, there are many checks you can do yourself.
Bill Curlee, 8Vette, Lucky13 are excellent to help in fixing elec. probs.
Post your codes here and go from there.

Have to have a good battery for these cars. Get a voltmeter and check across the posts. Should be above 12.4 volts for everything to work right.

With the meter still hooked up, have someone start the engine while you watch the meter. If close to 9 volts cranking, you may need a new battery.
Take it and have it load tested at Advance, Autozone, etc. if unsure.

Make sure your Grounds are all clean an tight too. Good luck.
