After 5 years of being way too deep into this car I paid the last $2.49 to the bank. Yes that is correct 2 dollars and 49 cents. I have replaced the engine trans and diff had over 10k in paint work done thanks to a rock truck and my wonderful insurance co. I would never have lasted this long with any other car but now let the fun begin. A big thanks to all the members of this forum for the valuable and supportive input and ideas that are generated here daily.I hope some of mine have helped others too. Even though my car is a 1999 it looks and runs new.Sun is out temp about 90 time to go for a ride.
Best feeling in the world isn't it! My car gets paid off next year but as soon as it does I'm dropping another $10,000 in it for more upgrades. It's either keep modding or buy a newer Vette. So why buy a stocker when you can have custom!
Congratulations! I remember when I sent the last payment in for my 2002, it was a great feeling. Nothing like owning a Vette outright, or any car for that matter. So take good care of it, the longer you keep it running good, the more it will pay you back! Best of luck with it!
The only thing better then owning a vette is owning a vette with no payments. I saved up for 10+ years for my vette. I'm happy to say I have not had a car payment in 20 years. Makes a huge difference with the budget.
