Will be picking up our 03 conv. next week and taking a couple weeks sight seeing on the way home. Going to take a Garmin Streetpilot 2730 to use but was wondering if anyone can give some advice on taking the bean bag and put it on the console or the suction cup for the corner of the dash ?
I've had good luck with suction cup, windshield mounts for numerous electronic devices. Sorry I can't give you a current recommendation, the ones I have are pretty old but still function well.
I have had nothing but bad luck with the suction cup. I hate opening my car door and seeing the GPS hanging by its wire.
I put the bean bag in the lower left and have spent a half hour or more bending the ear flaps to achieve greatest frictional area. I make sure two flaps touch the A-frame as well.
Never had a problem with the bean bag - unless I have to hit the brakes hard, and then it's just a matter of pushing the assembly back into place.
Bean bag or friction right in the center. I like it hear, that way the wife can search for things and addresses while I pay attention to all the idiot drivers around my car. Also when you park the car to go in somewhere just grab it and put it under the front seat. If a thief sees a suction cup, I bet they think there just might be a GPS under the front seat.
Believe it or not the suction cup is an exact fit for the clock you have to get it centered perfectly but it works great!
Your other option is a vent mount I have used both ways and IMHO the clock works best, yeh I know then you cant see the clock.
Purchase Gillette Foamy shaving cream. Put the lid right side up into bev tray.
Attach mount to lid and you're ready to go after shave
I did the same and it work, however. I looked at the suction cut mount put it all back together and the suction cup mount fits fine in the bev tray, looks better the the shavig cream mount and works fine.
