You can buy chrome ( plastic) lugnut covers. I had them on my car before I bought my CCW's and they looked great.

Do you happen to remember where you got them? That would be nice to have them chrome already. I started to buy chrome lug nut & locks but didn't want to change the stock look. Again, just weird 'ole me.

I just bought a second set of T/S for this very reason, I can only hope for results like yours!

The close-ups you took actually aren't in true focus but look great nevertheless. The reason I like polished thin spokes is because you can always bring them back brilliant again whereas with clearcoat you're pretty much stuck with every rock chip and corrosion trail.

It's not hard, just time & patience...

Sense you do not have a clearcoat is there anything you do other than polish? Like a wax or protectant?

I want to repolish mine but am worried i wont be able to do a good job on re clear coating them so i wonder if just some good wax would keep these looking good for a week at a time. (daily driver)

After I polished them, I washed them with simple green to get any residue off. Then put a good coat of wax (mequiars, at that time). Last week I used Mother's detailer on them and it seems to do real well so far. On a daily driver, I would try to have a body shop clearcoat them. take the wheels off & take them to the shop. The tires would have to covered but I don't think that would be a problem for them. I don't know how the spray cans would do. Clearcoat will dull the shine but protect them somewhat. The good thing is you can always take the clearcoat off & repolish them. Btw, don't use aluminum or chrome polish as a protectorant on them, use only wax. Personally, I'd rinse & wash them off at least once a week & wax them. That's what I will do. They shine like crazy & look like chrome. I'm curious about the Armor-All wheel protector they've been advertising, but have never been a strong follower of Armor-All. I think they have a video of it somewhere on the forum.

Many of the better polishes have some protectant built in. You can never have enough though. I once bought at Advance a product called "Nano-Polish" which specifically states it has anticorrosion built in. Can't say much for its polishing properties but does seem to help in corrosion protection.

I have no experience in this, but is Zoop-Seal something to consider?

ZOOP-SEAL (which I heard was really good, just a PITA to apply) went out of business but the owner started another called "Shine Seal" or something like that. Around a $100 bucks I think. There's tons of stuff out there, just haven't had the need to use them, looks like I will find out soon though.

No problem.....The bad thing is nothing will repel brake dust, just attempt to protect from corrosion, and I think a good coat of wax is as good as anything else, if it's applied more than once or twice a year. Zoop-Seal was "supposed" to protect for 3 years. It never said how many miles you drove (or didn't) for it to last this long. Probably the next thing I will look into are dust shields, you know the ones that look like vette calipers, although they are proud of them also. Isn't it amazing how the China products are becoming "priceless"?
