Well i have like 1 minute so i didnt doa search. Just parked car and got back in it. Strted up fine and i noticed column was locked, then read service coumn lock. I hope it just goes away when i get home. What am i dealing with here. WTF i am down to No vehicles out of 3 rite know.
Purchase the column lock bypass kit as soon as you can! I had the recall done several years ago on my '98 but it didn't fix the problem. It came back and locked down tight when we were in Bowling Green two years ago. Lucky place for it to happen, we were at the 15 year anniversary of the museum. I had 3 guys from the plant work on it to get it unlocked. They finally got the pin to pull back and disconnected the column lock motor and when we got back home I installed the bypass. Mine's a 6-speed and it's the best thing I've done. Good luck!
How could you only have 1 minute? You have no wheels so you can't go anywhere unless you resort to shoe-leather-express. Should have plenty of time to use the search tool.
If ya need to know i was home for lunch and had to run out the door
To catch a ride from my neighbor in order to get back in time.
