I did 2 3/4 in the front, 1 inch space inbetween and 3 1/2 in the back

I bought 3M Di-Noc matte carbon fiber film online. I don't remember which site I bought it from, but if you do a quick google search you will find a bunch

Pretty sure Dodge was doing it before the Corvette. Here is a 1971 GTX with them. And yes they came from the factory this way.
