Yes, it scratches easily and depending on your expertise it can look very orange peely. If it's painted and placed near real chrome it's gonna stick out like a sore thumb. Seen lots of it at bike shows and it's never as good as the real thing.

I tried it and was not happy, however I must have done it wrong because when done right it is incredible. I seen entire cars and bikes at SEMA and was blown away. Also unlike the previous response, the alsa product has about 97% reflectivity of real Chrome. Trust me, had I not seen that in person, I wouldn't believe it.

I don't have any experience with this specific vendor/product, but can tell you that they've been trying to perfect this for "real world" (i.e. not show cars) applications for years and it's never been quite right. You see it at car shows and SEMA or CES and it's amazing, but those cars haven't seen roads with dirt, rock chips, etc. Also, there's some skill involved in getting the paint application just right because you want it all laying down in a consistent direction.
If you try it out and it works well, post up here because I'm sure there are quite a few folks who'd give it a try if it actually works as advertised.
