Default Sea Foam

I just installed an engine in my Z06, and when I put oil in it I also put 10oz of SeaFoam in the crankcase. I am about to take the car to be tuned this week, should I removed the SeaFoam? (perform an oil change) Or will the 10oz be ok to run?

As long as the car is not smoking like crazy you will be fine on it. One of them that you add will let the car smoke like crazy man Hope it not the one in the crankcase. But if not smoking will be good to go

Is it a daily driver or will it sit until you take it for a tune?

You'll be fine. I accidentally poured a half a quart of tranny fluid in the oil once(Mobil 1 oil & tanny fluid quarts are both silver ). Drove it for a week before changing the oil. No harm.

seafoam will thin out the oil. It is made up of light petroleum, rubbing alcohol, and naptha. i wouldnt want anything in my oil that does that during a dyno run.

I think I'm going to agree here. I don't think it will hurt to drive around a few days (kinda like an oil flush) but I wouldn't take my car anywhere near redline with anything but good quality oil in the crankcase.

Ya'll think a drain and fill will be fine, or should I go ahead and do the filter too? New Filter installed with the engine.

ive heard of people intentionally putting trans fluid in the oil and running around 50 miles to help clean the engine before an oil change. it acts as a detergent, and cleans out a lot of gunk. not sure how good it is for your car though, so i stay away from this process. i doubt it hurts it though.

Change the filter. Its low cost and holds about 15% of your oil. No sense only changing part of the oil if you are going to the effort at all.
