When the original owner of my 2000 FRC had it modified by Lingenfelter besides the engine they did the full T1 suspensin. Great on the smooth surfaces, but in California they are few and far between. Getting tired of the rough ride, and I think coil overs might be overkill as well as expensive. I was thinking about changing shocks, but need some suggestions. Thanks,
Changing the shocks will offer some relief, but the really stiff
T-1 springs and sways are going to still be rough on the street. Bilstein HD shocks would be a good compromise. If the T-1 shocks are low mile, you can probably sell them for more than the Bilsteins would cost.
My car rides so smooth now its crazy. Its easily adjustable too (Ride height, shock firm or soft, increase or decrease spring rate ). 2 other friends of mine installed a set and agree how better the handling and overall comfort is of there car.

You may have to go back to the stock setup to get the stock soft ride. I did my homework, I too wanted a firm ride, so I rode in C5 vettes with aftermarket coil over shocks, Z06 fr&rr swaybars. If you do racing on a track, then they are for you. But my vette is a street rider, I stayed with the stock setup and now I'm very happy I don't need my tooth fillings re-attached monthly. Chevy did there homework and with the stock 3 settings, the vette is fine as is. And that is the hard part, the compromise on finding the balance of performance and street ride, that is a hard thing to ask forum members. So go to a Corvette club and talk to other members, ask to ride in their vette with the different setups, that is the only way to know what you want. Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Your racing friends must have there coil overs set to super hard or something. I suppose that makes sense if they are racing there car... ....
My coil overs smoothed out my ride big time. That's one of the three adjustments with coil overs. You can make them soft or hard in 5 mins just turning the stiffness dial on each Coil over. You can also adjust your spring rate, and you can adjust the shock length (Ride height).
This is just in my car though. Your car might be different.
