It's not that I'm lazy but I have limited space to work as I live in a condo. Sure I could have taken one wheel off at a time but I figured with proper masking I wouldn't hurt anything. Oh and total time from prep to finish was about an hour
Looks good to me. Not sure that I would have went that route but if it works why not. I am wondering the durability of the paint. You are going to have to give us updates.
My plan was to buy rims but last weekend I had a $997 repair bill so that went out the door. Not sure as far as durability but I have heard of 6 months plus. I thought if I was going to paint them on the car it would be better with plasti dip vs some permanent paint. If over spray occurred plasti dip would wipe off.
Not my cup of tea. Kind of makes your rims look like hubcaps. Just giving you my honest opinion. I think they would've looked better with a polished lip.
mine has been on for a while with no sign of coming off. ive had to redo them once but it was because i tried to clean with with a rag while they were dry. bad idea lol its easy to fix tho
tried to clean when dry? how do you clean them then?
actually i had just got off the mountain and i had brake dust all over the wheels. i tried to just wipe the dust off with an old shirt of mine and i wiped a little to hard and i peeled just a tad of the plasti dip off. i could have fixed it but i just peeled all of the wheels, drove it a week then i ended up painting them again
