Default C5 museum trip

Any other C5's going to the Corvette Museum next Monday (June 20th), I may be going down there if my stepson can get the day off.

I haven't been to the NCM or factory since 2003 and I gotta see the C6 build tour. Only about 300 miles each way not staying overnight.

Going back to the birthplace too, if the factory tours are running.

My stepson was gonna drive his 86 C4 along with me but we don't wanna pay to tow it home 300 miles

Yeah I can't wait to go see it again. The only 1983 C4 was in the front display window last time I was at museum.

Last time I was at the factory the Cadillac XLR assembly line was not available for viewing yet (secretive). Now it will just be abandoned, unless they are planning to refit for C7.

I will take hundreds of pics at museum trust me

I just went there myself, a little bit further than 300 miles but it was still a nice three day trip. The museum was worth it but I wasn't all that impressed with the factory tour, I think that may have been partly because the tour guide sucked and probably didn't know what a corvette was before he started interning there. Don't get me wrong the factory was pretty neat but it could have been a lot better.

I went to the NCM a few weeks ago. It was absolutely awesome and worth the trip. I have been meaning to write a thread on it as I took a lot of pictures... I will try to get to it by this weekend.

Bleh, I have to take my Vette in to get my top replaced on the 20th.

I have been meaning to make that trip. I have never been and would love to check it out. Are there ever any forum get-togethers? Would be nice to actualy meet some of the people IRL. I would Def make the time and take the days if something like that were to happen.

Is there something special about the 20th or is that just the day your gong to be going?
