For a mostly stock car, the tune will net you just a few HP. Might want to have the car checked over to see if there is something causing the poor performance like 8VETTE7 says.

I agree with the others, Have everything checked out. Now I am one that feels that a tune can wake up an A4 stock Vette, I had my tune done by Chuck CoW some years ago and it really woke up my car, The shifting was so much better it was fun to drive and still is. The line pressure on the trans made the car shift so much faster, All and all the car is so much more responsive now.

Thanks Very much! YES, a good tune will do more for you and the car than just some power.

The important thing to remember is that we can now DATALOG the mail order tune

to get the best possible performance and mileage, where before it was a

one shot deal....

It's a great idea and here's another.....

Default Tune . . . . and the dyno !

Your only 25 miles away from www.CountyCorvette.com in West Chester, PA 610-696-7888 who also can do an excellent tune and they have installed a dyno so your 'tune' is in actual real time performance. If your sending your PCM off to somebody five states away they have to approximate and I'm sure they do very nicely. But getting it done on a Dyno and with you watching and confirming with the tuner, I believe you'll get exactly the performance increase you have in mind, on your car.

A tune does more than just add high rpm horsepower numbers.

An increase in driveability and throttle response is what you will notice most (and what most people equate to added horsepower).

Formatto travels to your area on occasion to tune. A bunch of forum guys in your area use him. Forget mail order tunes, get a real tune.
