Its a version of the 3m vinyls. They have different types which I know some of you have used, such as the gloss carbon vinyl. Well this is matte black.
I was sad today when I saw there was cracked paint on my hood.. How did I not notice this before?! I plan on getting a paint job, but not any time soon, so maybe having a matte black hood will be a temp fix until I decide to get my car repainted? I'm not so sure I want to have a fake carbon hood though..
Any thoughts and opinions?
Thanks,
Brett
P.S. if there is any flaming about why I'm too cheap to get a new paint job right now its because I'm 23 with a z06, a Silverado Duramax 2500, and I JUST bought a Triumph Daytona 675.
Depends on clear coat peeling. Matte or carbon fiber 1080 series is a great way to spruce the corvette on a budget. We do hoods for about $200 installed. Great film! Better than a paint job? Of course not. But good luck getting a brushed aluminum textured hood or full wrap any where else!!

Yeah I hear ya.. I'm not sure if a gloss black vette would look good with the only thing on it matte black being the hood. Every time I see this cracked paint though, I get pissed off.
