Ok so today i step on the gas and my corvette took like 3s to feel the kick so i slowed down and i was going like 5 mph and i step on it all the way down the first time i did it and it took like 3s to feel the kick and speed up whats wrong my engine was kind of cold

a little difficult to tell by the description. are you saying the tranny didn't downshift? If you were only going 5mph you may have already been in 1st. If you are saying the car didn't build any real power/torque then I'd say it sounds normal. From a 5mph roll things wouldn't get really exciting for 3-4 seconds. Gotta wait till it is up around 3-3500 rpm to get really fun.
I never nail mine before it's a little warmed up. I know the computer takes care of many functions, it's possible the computer was just watching your back.
Of the many things it could be one of them may by your fuel pump or your fuel filter is clogged.
If your picking up normally but get bogged down when you punch it your fuel might not be getting to your engine.
Again, I'm a relative newb but I did just get a serious crash course on fuel systems in the last 4 weeks. If your vette is 97-early 03 you can start by changing out your fuel filter.
